The Office of the Director General, Medical Education and Training, Uttar Pradesh, has issued official guidelines for UP NEET UG 2026 Round 1 Online Counselling. Qualified NEET UG 2026 candidates must register on upneet.gov.in with their personal contact details and pay a non-refundable ₹2,000 registration fee. Candidates are required to select a Nodal Center to complete online document verification, uploading 10th/12th marksheets along with domicile and category certificates where applicable. To enable choice filling, refundable security money must be deposited online from the candidate's personal bank account: ₹30,000 for government medical/dental seats, ₹2,00,000 for private medical seats (or both government/private seats), and ₹1,00,000 for private dental seats.
Reservation benefits apply only to Uttar Pradesh domicile holders, with OBC and EWS certificates required to be issued on or after April 1, 2026, by a competent state authority; out-of-state candidates will be treated as Unreserved. Round 1 provides a "Free Exit" facility, allowing candidates who decline an allotted seat to get a full security refund and remain eligible for Round 2 or 3. Finally, candidates must lock their choices to participate in seat allocation, with physical admission processes taking place at the allotted college for government seats and at designated Nodal Centers for private seats.
