UP NEET UG Counselling 2026 Round 1: Choice Filling & Admission Guidelines
The Directorate General, Medical Education & Training, Uttar Pradesh has issued important instructions regarding the choice filling and admission process for the First Round of UP NEET UG Counselling 2026. The notice, dated September 3, 2026, is applicable to candidates participating in the admission process for MBBS and BDS courses.
As per the notice, candidates who have been declared qualified in NEET UG 2026 are eligible to participate in UP NEET UG counselling. Candidates whose security money has been deposited and documents have been verified can proceed with the choice-filling process.
Candidates have been advised to fill their college choices according to their priority and should select only those colleges where they are genuinely interested in taking admission. Choice locking is mandatory. Candidates who fail to lock their choices will be automatically excluded from the seat-allotment process. Once the choices are locked, no changes or modifications will be permitted.
For candidates allotted seats in Government Medical or Dental Colleges, the admission process will be completed at the respective allotted college. Candidates allotted seats in Private Medical or Dental Colleges will have to complete the admission process through the Government-designated Nodal Centres.
The notice further advises candidates to check the applicable tuition fee for private medical and dental colleges through the official UP NEET UG and DGME Uttar Pradesh websites. Candidates allotted private-sector seats are required to submit the prescribed tuition fee through the specified mode, including the required Demand Draft where applicable.
