Uttarakhand NEET UG 2026 Seat Surrender: Last Date, FREEZE & FLOAT Rules
The Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Uttarakhand Medical Education University (HNBUMU) has issued an important notice regarding the seat surrender, withdrawal and resignation procedure for Round 1 of Uttarakhand NEET UG 2026 Centralized Counselling. The notice was published on September 7, 2026.
According to the notice, candidates who were allotted a Round 1 seat based on their merit and choices and selected the FREEZE option can surrender their allotted seat without forfeiting the security deposit. Such candidates must personally report at their concerned allotted institute and complete the surrender process on or before September 9, 2026, at 5:00 PM.
Candidates who selected the FLOAT option and now wish to surrender their Round 1 seat can also do so without forfeiture of the security deposit. However, FLOAT candidates are required to surrender the seat by logging into their counselling account using their Login ID before the same deadline of 5:00 PM on September 9, 2026.
HNBUMU has clearly stated that no candidate will be permitted to surrender a Round 1 allotted seat after 5:00 PM on September 9, 2026. Candidates planning to withdraw should therefore complete the applicable procedure within the prescribed timeline.
