Uttarakhand NEET UG Counselling 2026: HNBUMU Issues PwD Certificate Guidelines
Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Uttarakhand Medical Education University (HNBUMU) has issued an important notice for candidates applying under the Persons with Disabilities (PwD) category in Uttarakhand NEET UG Counselling 2026. The university has clarified that only Disability Certificates issued by National Medical Commission (NMC)-designated assessment centres will be accepted for admission under the PwD quota. Candidates seeking MBBS and BDS admission through the Uttarakhand State Centralised Counselling must ensure their disability certificates comply with the latest NMC guidelines.
The notice also refers candidates to the latest MCC advisory and the updated NMC guidelines on PwBD assessment, including the list of designated medical assessment boards and the appellate mechanism for disability evaluation. Applicants are advised to obtain or verify their disability certificates only from the approved centres before participating in the counselling process to avoid rejection of their PwD claim during admission.
