The National Testing Agency (NTA) has started online registration for JEE Main 2027 Session 1. Applications opened on October 24, 2026, and candidates can submit the form on the official JEE Main website until 11:50 PM on November 22, 2026. The exam will be held in January 2027.

NTA issued a public notice dated October 24, 2026. For academic session 2027-28, JEE Main will be held in two sessions: Session 1 in January 2027 and Session 2 in April 2027. Candidates may apply for Session 1 only. A separate window for Session 2 will open later, and Session 1 applicants can reuse their application number.

Exam Pattern and Timings
JEE Main 2027 will be held in 13 languages, including English, Hindi and Urdu. Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech) has 75 questions across Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry, each with 20 multiple-choice and 5 numerical questions. Paper 2A (B.Arch) has 77 questions and Paper 2B (B.Planning) has 100. There is negative marking in both sections where applicable. Paper 1 runs for three hours, while B.Arch and B.Planning run for three and a half hours. Shifts start at 9 AM and 3 PM.

- Open the official JEE Main website and register for Session 1.
- Fill in personal, academic and paper details.
- Upload the required photograph, signature and documents.
- Pay the fee online by card, net banking or UPI.
- Submit the form and save the confirmation page.
