- Go to the official JEECUP counselling portal at jeecup.admissions.nic.in
- Click on the counselling registration link for Round 1
- Register using your JEECUP application number and create a new password
- Log in and pay the counselling fee of ₹3,000 online via debit card, credit card, or net banking
- Proceed to choice filling — select colleges and branches in order of preference
- Add as many choices as possible — there is no penalty for filling more options
- Lock your choices before June 30, 2026. Unlocked choices will be finalised automatically as initially selected
- Keep a printout of the locked choices for reference

After Round 1 seat allotment, candidates must select one of two options on the portal.
- Freeze: Accept the allotted seat and opt out of further counselling rounds. Candidates must report to the allotted institute for document verification within the deadline.
- Float: Retain the allotted seat and remain eligible for a better seat in the next round. If a better seat is allotted in Round 2, the Round 1 seat is vacated automatically.
