JoSAA 2026 Schedule: What Has Been Released

The Joint Seat Allocation Authority has released the complete JoSAA 2026 schedule, covering all events from candidate registration right through to the final NIT+ system round. If you cleared JEE Mains 2026 or JEE Advanced 2026, this schedule is the only calendar that matters for the next two months. Registration is already open and closes on June 11, 2026 at 17:00 IST — no extensions are expected.

JoSAA 2026 Registration & Choice Filling — Dates You Cannot Miss

  • June 2, 2026 (5:00 PM) — Registration and choice filling opens at josaa.admissions.nic.in. Pre-payment of seat acceptance fee and document pre-upload also begin.
  • June 7, 2026 (8:00 PM) — Snapshot of choices taken for Mock Allocation 1. AAT-qualified candidates can add architecture choices after AAT result.
  • June 8, 2026 (2:00 PM) — Mock Seat Allocation 1 displayed. Check your predicted seat — but do not stop filling choices.
  • June 9, 2026 (5:00 PM) — Snapshot of choices taken for Mock Allocation 2.
  • June 10, 2026 (1:00 PM) — Mock Seat Allocation 2 displayed.
  • June 11, 2026 (5:00 PM)FINAL DEADLINE. Registration and choice filling close. System auto-locks all choices. Pre-payment also ends.

JoSAA 2026 Round-Wise Schedule — Complete Date Sheet

  • Round 1 — Seat Allotment: June 13, 2026 (10:00 AM). Fee payment and document upload deadline: June 26, 2026 (5:00 PM). Last date to respond to queries: June 29, 2026 (5:00 PM).
  • Round 2 — Seat Allotment: June 30, 2026 (5:00 PM). Fee payment deadline: July 3, 2026 (5:00 PM). Withdrawal window: July 1–3, 2026. Last date for queries: July 5, 2026 (5:00 PM).
  • Round 3 — Seat Allotment: July 6, 2026 (5:00 PM). Fee payment deadline: July 8, 2026 (5:00 PM). Withdrawal window: July 7–8, 2026. Last date for queries: July 9, 2026 (5:00 PM).
  • Round 4 — Seat Allotment: July 10, 2026 (5:00 PM). Fee payment deadline: July 13, 2026 (5:00 PM). Withdrawal window: July 11–14, 2026. Last withdrawal/exit for IITs/IISc: July 14, 2026 (5:00 PM). Last date for queries: July 15, 2026 (5:00 PM).
  • Round 5 (FINAL for IITs/IISc) — Seat Allotment: July 16, 2026 (5:00 PM). Fee payment deadline: July 20, 2026 (5:00 PM). Resolution of fee issues + last query date: July 21, 2026 (5:00 PM). This is the final round for IITs and IISc.
  • NIT+ System (Round 5 onwards): Withdrawal open July 16–20, 2026. Partial Admission Fee (PAF) payment: July 22–24, 2026. Visit csab.nic.in for CSAB special rounds after JoSAA ends.

JoSAA 2026 — 138 Institutes, 67,323 Seats

JoSAA 2026 covers admissions to 138 participating institutes with a total of 67,323 seats — an increase from last year. This includes all 23 IITs, IISc Bangalore, 31 NITs, 26 IIITs, and GFTIs. IIT seats are filled based on JEE Advanced 2026 rank. NIT, IIIT, and GFTI seats use JEE Mains 2026 rank. Documents You Need Before June 11

  • JEE Main 2026 Admit Card and Scorecard
  • JEE Advanced 2026 Admit Card and Scorecard (for IIT aspirants)
  • Class 10 Marksheet and Certificate (date of birth proof)
  • Class 12 Marksheet and Certificate
  • Category Certificate — OBC-NCL / SC / ST / EWS (issued by competent authority, not older than 1 year for OBC-NCL)
  • PwD Certificate (if applicable — physical verification schedule is in Section XIX of JoSAA Business Rules)
  • Passport-size photographs (recent, white background)
  • Valid photo ID — Aadhaar / Passport / Voter ID

Seat Acceptance Fee — How Much and When

  • General / OBC-NCL / EWS candidates: ₹30,000 seat acceptance fee
  • SC / ST / PwD candidates: ₹15,000 seat acceptance fee
  • Fee must be paid within the deadline of each round — failure to pay means forfeiting the allotted seat
  • If you made a payment attempt (uploaded docs + clicked Pay) before the deadline but payment failed, resolution is available the next working day after each round closes

What Happens After Round 5 for NIT+ System Candidates

Round 5 is the final round for IITs and IISc. For NIT+, IIIT, and GFTI candidates, the process continues with the CSAB 2026 special rounds after JoSAA closes. PAF payment runs from July 22–24.
