KEAM 2026 First Phase Allotment Released

The Office of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala, published the KEAM 2026 First Phase Final Allotment on July 8, 2026, for candidates seeking admission to First Year Engineering courses for the 2026-27 academic session. Candidates can check their allotment status by logging into the KEAM 2026 Candidate Portal at cee.kerala.gov.in using their application number, password, and access code.

The First Phase Allotment follows the earlier release of the Trial Allotment on July 6 and the Provisional Allotment on July 7, 2026. Candidates who found discrepancies in the provisional list were given the opportunity to raise complaints by 2 PM on July 8 via email to CEE, after which the commission finalised and published the confirmed First Phase Allotment the same day. Along with the allotment result, CEE Kerala has also released the KEAM 2026 Phase 1 cutoff for all engineering courses in PDF format on the official website.

  • Step 2: Click on the link to go to the KEAM 2026 Candidate Portal
  • Step 3: Log in using your Application Number, Password, and Access Code
  • Step 4: Click on the link marked 'Engineering: First Phase Allotment Published'
  • Step 5: View your allotted college and course displayed on the screen
  • Step 6: Download the allotment memo, which shows the details of the allotted institution and the fee payable
  • Step 7: Take a printout of the allotment memo, as it is required at the time of admission

How to Pay the KEAM 2026 Admission Fee

Candidates who have been allotted a seat in the First Phase must remit the fee specified in their allotment memo through online payment between July 9 and July 12, 2026, up to 4:00 PM, in order to accept the allotment. Failure to pay within this deadline will result in the candidate losing the allotted seat as well as all the existing higher-preference options within that stream, which cannot be recovered in subsequent phases.

  • Step 1: Log in to the KEAM 2026 Candidate Portal using your application number and password
  • Step 2: View your allotment details, including the college name, course, and fee payable, displayed on screen
  • Step 3: Click on 'Proceed to Pay' and select your preferred online payment mode
  • Step 4: Complete the transaction without pressing the back button or refreshing the page
  • Step 5: A confirmation page will appear on successful payment
  • Step 6: Download and print the fee payment receipt, as it is required when reporting to the allotted college

Candidates should note that if the fee amount is debited from their account but the confirmation page does not appear, they should check their transaction status on the portal before attempting another payment, to avoid duplicate charges. No cash or demand draft is accepted for the online admission fee payment process.

What Happens After Paying the KEAM 2026 Admission Fee

Once the admission fee is paid, the candidate's Phase 1 seat is secured, and the allotted college and course remain active while the candidate continues to participate in subsequent allotment phases for a potentially better option. Candidates automatically remain eligible for a higher-preference seat in Phase 2 without needing to submit a fresh registration. If a better option is allotted in a later phase, the earlier seat is cancelled and the fee already paid is adjusted as per CEE Kerala's policy for KEAM 2026.

Candidates satisfied with their Phase 1 allotment and not wishing to be considered for further phases should note that they are required to report to the allotted college within the notified deadline with their original documents to complete admission formalities.

Documents Required for Admission After KEAM 2026 Allotment

Candidates reporting to their allotted college for admission after paying the fee must carry original documents along with photocopies for verification, including the KEAM 2026 admit card and rank card, the CAP 2026 allotment memo and fee payment receipt, Class 12 mark sheet and pass certificate, Class 10 certificate as proof of date of birth, transfer certificate and conduct certificate from the institution last attended, community certificate for SC/ST/SEBC candidates, nativity or domicile certificate, and a physical fitness certificate from a registered MBBS doctor. Candidates seeking admission to Architecture courses additionally need to carry their NATA 2026 scorecard.

KEAM 2026: Remaining Counselling Schedule

KEAM 2026 counselling under the Centralised Allotment Process (CAP) is structured across three regular allotment phases, followed by a mop-up round to fill any seats that remain vacant thereafter. The complete admission process, including all phases, is expected to be completed by the end of July or the first week of August 2026, in line with AICTE's national deadlines for engineering admissions. Candidates who do not receive a seat, or who wish to try for a better allotment, automatically remain in contention for Phase 2 and Phase 3 based on their existing options, without needing to re-register.

Important Points to Remember

  • A candidate is bound to accept an allotment as per the priority registered in their options list and must surrender any seat already occupied if allotted a higher-preference option in a later phase
  • Requests to retain an existing admission instead of accepting a new allotment based on registered options will not be considered under any circumstance
  • Failure to report for admission at the allotted institution after paying the fee within the stipulated time results in forfeiture of the allotment and cancellation of all existing options in that stream
  • The CAP registration fee is non-refundable regardless of whether a candidate receives an allotment or joins the allotted course
