Admission Process at AIMS IBS Business School
Step-by-Step Admission Procedure
- Apply online through the institute's application portal, or download the application form and send it with the required documents and application fee to the Bangalore campus
- Complete the self-assessment provided by the admissions team
- Appear for the AIMS IBS written test covering General Knowledge, Aptitude, General English and Reasoning
- Attend a personal interview scheduled by the admissions department for shortlisted candidates
- Receive the provisional admission offer letter
- Confirm admission within two to three weeks by paying the admission or registration charges
- Submit the original documents for verification
Candidates who have already appeared for national or state level tests such as CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT, ATMA, KMAT or PGCET are exempted from the AIMS IBS written test, and their valid score is considered instead. Selection is based on academic performance, test scores, interview performance, work experience if any, commitment to the course and co-curricular achievements and awards. Applicants should prepare to talk about their goals, their reasons for choosing a particular specialisation and any projects or internships they have completed.
Documents Required
- Class 10 and Class 12 marks sheets
- Graduation marks sheets for all semesters or years
- Transfer Certificate and Migration Certificate
- Provisional Degree Certificate
- Entrance exam scorecard (CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT, GMAT, IIFT, ATMA, KMAT or PGCET)
- Caste or income certificate, if claiming any exemption
- Six passport size photographs
It is important to note that the registration fee, once paid, is non-refundable and non-adjustable under any circumstances, so candidates should confirm their specialisation choice and financial planning before remitting the amount. The institute also publishes a cancellation and refund policy on its website, which should be read carefully at the time of confirming a seat.
Undergraduate Admissions
For the BBA, BCA and BCom programmes, applicants must have passed 10+2 from a recognised board. Interested students can submit the online application, speak with the admissions team about the programme of their choice, and follow the same offer and confirmation steps used for other programmes. Because dates and seat availability can change every year, families are advised to contact the institute directly on the published phone numbers or email addresses for the latest intake schedule.
For the amount payable at each stage, read the programme-wise fee details, and for exam-based entry expectations see the cutoff information.
