The All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA), Goa, is a premier apex institute and a satellite centre of the All India Institute of Ayurveda, New Delhi, operating under the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India [citation:1][citation:4]. Inaugurated by the Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on 11th December 2022, the institute has rapidly established itself as a national centre of excellence in Ayurvedic education, research, and patient care [citation:3][citation:5]. Conceived to bring a synergy between the traditional wisdom of Ayurveda and modern scientific tools and technology, AIIA Goa offers undergraduate (B.A.M.S.), postgraduate (M.D.), and doctoral programs, while also focusing on fundamental research, drug development, standardization, quality control, safety evaluation, and scientific validation of Ayurvedic medicines [citation:1][citation:8]. AIIA Goa is equipped with a 250-bed multi-specialty referral hospital, which is fully air-conditioned and features modern diagnostic services including clinical pathology, hematology, biochemistry, microbiology, ECG, and digital X-ray [citation:3][citation:8]. The hospital runs over 25 specialized Outpatient Departments (OPDs) and serves more than 800 patients daily, providing Ayurvedic medicines free of cost [citation:5]. Since its inception, the institute has recorded over 5.25 lakh OPD visits, more than 31,000 IPD admissions, 77,200 Panchakarma procedures, and 1,35,000 radiology and laboratory investigations [citation:5]. The institute has expanded its clinical services significantly, with recent additions including the Sushruta OT Complex for modern surgical facilities, a Physiotherapy Unit, a specialized Kaumarbhritya Panchakarma Unit for pediatric therapies, and a Bone Mineral Density (BMD) Unit for bone health assessment [citation:10]. On the occasion of the 10th Ayurveda Day, the institute unveiled further healthcare facilities, including an Integrated Oncology Unit, a Central Sterile Supply Department, a Linen Processing Unit, and a Blood Bank, reinforcing its position as a hub for integrative medicine [citation:9]. Academically, AIIA Goa hosts 400 undergraduate students and 49 postgraduate scholars across multiple disciplines, alongside specialized courses in Ayurveda dietetics and Panchakarma therapy [citation:5].
