AIIMS Bhopal has 125 MBBS seats. All seats are under the All India Quota — there is no state quota, management quota, or NRI quota. Admission is purely via NEET UG merit through MCC counselling.

Admission to MD/MS/DM/MCh programs at AIIMS Bhopal is via INI CET (Institute of National Importance Combined Entrance Test), not NEET PG. INI CET is conducted by AIIMS Delhi for all AIIMS, JIPMER, PGI, and other INIs.

AIIMS Bhopal is the first medical college in India to offer a PG Certificate course in Management of CBRNE (Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and Explosives) Disasters, in collaboration with IGNOU, INMAS, and DRDO. It also houses a 1000+ bed super-specialty hospital, an octagonal 1000-seat auditorium, and offers 35 departments and 242+ faculty.

The 2024 NEET UG general category closing rank for AIIMS Bhopal MBBS was approximately 510 (score ~510 marks out of 720). OBC closing rank was approximately 2,500; SC approximately 35,000; ST approximately 55,000. Competition is extremely high.
