All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Bilaspur is a premier Institute of National Importance established in 2019 under Phase-V of the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY) by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. Located at Kothipura, Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh on NH-205 (Shimla-Kangra Road), it operates on a sprawling 247-acre eco-friendly campus. The institute commenced its first academic session on January 12, 2021 under the mentorship of PGIMER, Chandigarh. It is an autonomous institute, a 'New AIIMS', with MBBS intake of 50 seats. All admissions are strictly through AIQ (All India Quota) via MCC counselling – no state quota whatsoever. The MBBS fee is extraordinarily low at just ₹6,750 total tuition for the entire course (same for all categories – no discrimination). Total MBBS fees including hostel/security etc. is approx. ₹5,856–₹7,740 for the entire 5.5-year course. Ranked 10th in India (NIRF Medical 2024). PG admissions via INI-CET conducted by AIIMS New Delhi. The AIIMS Bilaspur hospital has 750+ beds with modern facilities. Only top NEET scorers (General rank ~600–2,800) can secure MBBS admission. No management quota, no NRI quota, no state quota.
