Anand Engineering College (AEC), Agra, is a well-established private engineering and management institution founded in 1998 and located at the 18 km milestone on the Agra–Delhi Highway (NH-2), Keetham, Agra. It is part of the Sharda Group of Institutions and carries the AKTU College Code 001. The college is housed in a grand complex spanning 1,00,000 sq. metres of covered area built on a 29.4-acre campus, making it one of the largest engineering campuses in the Agra region. AEC was established with four undergraduate engineering departments initially and has since expanded to include 11 undergraduate and 3 postgraduate departments. The college offers B.Tech in seven specialisations — Computer Science Engineering, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, Mechanical Engineering, Biotechnology, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, and Civil Engineering — along with BCA and BBA at the undergraduate level. The college is affiliated with Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Lucknow, for its B.Tech and M.Tech programmes, and with Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University, Agra, for its BBA and BCA courses. Most programmes are accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA), which is a mark of academic quality and industry relevance. AEC Agra places a strong emphasis on research and innovation. The Civil Engineering Department has been selected as a nodal centre by the Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS), a unit of ISRO, for remote sensing and GIS activities. The college received a research grant from the Department of Scientific & Industrial Research (DSIR), Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India. Faculty members conduct workshops on National Road Safety, and the college has a Student Spiritual Development Club operating in collaboration with ISKCON. The Training and Placement Cell at AEC is proactive and maintains connections with top recruiters.
