About Apollo Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, Chittoor

Apollo Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (AIMSR), Chittoor is the dream project of Apollo Hospitals Education and Research Foundation (AHERF) — a not-for-profit society registered in Hyderabad, recognized as a Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (SIRO) by DSIR, DST, Government of India. Established in September 2015 at the Apollo Knowledge & Health City, Chittoor-Tirupati Road, Murukambattu, AIMSR is set on a 108-acre campus with ultra-modern teaching facilities. The college is affiliated with Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada, and recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC). AIMSR offers 150 MBBS seats and PG courses (MD/MS) across multiple specializations. The attached Chittoor Government District Hospital — taken over by AIMSR in September 2015 on a 33-year MoU with the Andhra Pradesh State Government — has 410 teaching beds with modern ICU, Casualty, six Operation Theatres, Labour Complex, and diagnostic labs covering 21 Medical and Surgical specialties.
