Atria Institute of Technology (AIT), established in 2000, is a premier private engineering and management institution located in the heart of Bengaluru at Hebbal, adjacent to Bangalore Baptist Hospital. The institute is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi, and approved by AICTE, New Delhi. AIT holds the prestigious NAAC A++ accreditation and has NBA accreditation for select B.E. programmes, and has been granted Autonomous Institution status, allowing it to design its own syllabus aligned with industry requirements. Spread across a vibrant 17.5-acre city campus, AIT offers a fully integrated academic environment encompassing smart classrooms, seminar halls, research centres, state-of-the-art laboratories, workshops, an Industry Interaction Centre, and separate boys and girls hostels within the campus premises. The library and information centre, established in 2000, has grown to a collection of over 40,000 books and subscribes to numerous national and international journals, e-books, and digital resources. AIT offers undergraduate B.E. programmes across 8 specialisations including Computer Science & Engineering (CSE), Information Science & Engineering (ISE), CSE with Data Science, Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE), Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning (AI&ML), and Robotics & Automation. At the postgraduate level, it offers M.Tech in CSE, MBA with specialisations in Finance, Marketing, HR, and Business Analytics, and a 2-year MCA programme. PhD programmes are also available. Admissions to B.E. are through three channels: KCET (45% of seats), COMEDK UGET (30% of seats), and Management Quota (25% of seats). PG admissions are through Karnataka PGCET, KMAT, CAT, and MAT. The total B.E. fees via KCET are approximately Rs. 5.06 Lakhs for 4 years, and via COMEDK approximately Rs. 9.42 Lakhs for 4 years. AIT's Training and Placement Department (CDC – Career Development Centre) is one of the most active in Bengaluru, with over 400 MNCs visiting on-campus for recruitment. As per the 2024 placement report, 197 students were in the BE CSE batch of which 135 got placed; the highest package stood at Rs. 30 LPA. Top recruiters include DELL, Flipkart, TCS, Infosys, Amazon, Bosch, IBM, Tech Mahindra, PhonePe, Capgemini, and Accenture. The institute has recorded over 2,000 offers in the last four years. AIT fosters an entrepreneurial culture through the Atria Business Incubation Centre (ABiC), which supports student-led startups with mentoring, technology guidance, and financial assistance. The institute collaborates with the Government of Karnataka on ATRIA – an advanced training and research initiative in AI and ML. Annual technical and cultural fests such as Dextrix and Sapthrang make campus life vibrant. In national rankings, AIT was ranked 89th by Times of India (2025), 12th in Bangalore, and 392nd all-India by Collegedunia (2025). It is ranked 131 by Times under the Engineering category (2023).
