Dr. Sone Lal Patel Autonomous State Medical College, Pratapgarh (ASMC Pratapgarh) is a government medical college established in 2021 by the Government of Uttar Pradesh. Located at Pure Keshav Rai, Pratapgarh – 230001, on a 21.77-acre campus, the college is affiliated with Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University (ABVMU), Lucknow, and approved by the National Medical Commission (NMC). The current Dean is Dr. Salil Kumar Srivastava. With 100 NMC-approved MBBS seats and postgraduate MD/MS courses (admitted via NEET-PG, 50% AIQ and 50% State Quota), ASMC Pratapgarh is one of the older ASMC colleges in UP with multiple MBBS batches currently studying. The attached 500-bed government District Hospital (including 30 emergency beds) provides comprehensive tertiary-level clinical training, 24x7 casualty, and specialist services. The college has an HMIS portal (ADT, billing, OPD, ABHA) operational since 2023. The campus features modern lecture halls, pre-clinical and para-clinical labs, a central library, skill lab, and separate hostels. ASMC Pratapgarh is committed to developing socially responsible physicians for the Pratapgarh region and eastern Uttar Pradesh through rigorous academic training, community health engagement, and ethical practice.
