Banarasidas Chandiwala Institute of Physiotherapy (BCIP), established in 2003, is a private physiotherapy institute in New Delhi under the Chandiwala Charitable Trust. Located on the Chandiwala Estate in Kalkaji, South Delhi, BCIP is affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) and offers a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) program. These clinical postings expose students to diverse patient populations and conditions including musculoskeletal injuries, neurological disorders (stroke, spinal cord injuries, Parkinson's), respiratory conditions, paediatric disabilities, and sports injuries. The mandatory six-month internship at the end of the program consolidates clinical skills under professional supervision. Faculty includes qualified physiotherapists with postgraduate degrees (MPT) and clinical experience across various specializations. The teaching approach combines didactic lectures with practical demonstrations, case-based discussions, patient assessments, and evidence-based practice sessions. Guest lectures by senior physiotherapists and doctors from leading hospitals supplement the regular curriculum. Placement support is provided through the institute's placement cell and the broader Chandiwala group network. BPT graduates find employment in multispecialty hospitals, physiotherapy clinics, rehabilitation centres, sports organizations, fitness centres, and community health programs. Many graduates also establish their own private physiotherapy practices. Average starting packages range from INR 3 to 5 LPA depending on the employer and location. Graduates can pursue MPT for specialization or compete for government physiotherapy positions through public service examinations.
