BMCRI currently offers 250 MBBS seats per academic year following NMC approval for an increase from 150 seats. This makes it one of the largest MBBS intake colleges in Karnataka. Seats are distributed across categories: General Merit, SC, ST, OBC, EWS, NCC, Ex-Servicemen, and Physically Disabled quotas under both State and All India Quota counselling.

The annual tuition fee for MBBS at BMCRI under the Government/State Quota is approximately INR 55,100. Additional fees include a one-time hostel fee of INR 500 per annum, university exam fees, and other charges (INR 14,350 in the first year, INR 5,750 in the second year, INR 3,500 in the third year, and INR 8,350 in the fourth and fifth years). The total MBBS course fee for the full 4.5 years is approximately INR 2.7 lakhs, making BMCRI one of the most affordable top-tier medical colleges in India.

Yes, BMCRI provides on-campus hostel facilities for MBBS students, PG students, and House Surgeons. Boys' hostels (Bheema, Thunga, and Varuna) and separate girls' hostels are available. Rooms are allotted on a triple-sharing basis. The annual hostel fee is INR 500. Mess facilities serve hygienic food with vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. The hostels are within walking distance of the academic block and teaching hospitals.

After completing 4.5 years of MBBS academics, students undergo a mandatory one-year internship as House Surgeons at BMCRI's associated hospitals (Victoria Hospital and others). During internship, students are posted in different departments including General Medicine, Surgery, OBG, Pediatrics, Ophthalmology, and more. A monthly stipend of approximately INR 30,000 is provided, though delays in stipend disbursement have occasionally been reported. Upon completion, students receive their MBBS degree and practicing license.
