Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University) Medical College & Hospital, Sangli (BVDU MC Sangli) was established in 2005 as a constituent college of Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University, Pune, founded by Dr. Patangrao Kadam. Located on Sangli–Miraj Road at Wanlesswadi, Sangli, the college is recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC) and offers MBBS (150 seats annually, expanding to 250 from AY 2025-26) and postgraduate MD/MS programmes across 18 disciplines. The college campus spans a multi-storeyed, well-ventilated building of 2.5 lakh sq. ft., featuring 6 air-conditioned lecture halls with modern audio-visual equipment, 29 departmental demo rooms, a well-stocked central library, modern laboratories, and state-of-the-art museums. Yes. As per Maharashtra government policy, a compulsory rural service bond is mandatory for MBBS graduates from private colleges in Maharashtra. Bond penalty is applicable if service is not completed.
Currently 150 MBBS seats are available per year. NMC has granted LOP to expand to 250 seats from AY 2025-26. All 150 seats are filled through MCC AIQ Deemed University Counselling — no Maharashtra State Quota.
