B.T.L. Institute of Technology and Management (BTLITM), Bangalore, is a private engineering and management institution established in 1997 under the BTL Educational Trust for Rural Development. The trust was founded by Prof. B.T. Lakshman, an academician and Non-Resident Indian (NRI) settled in the United States of America, with a vision of bringing quality technical education to a wider segment of students in Karnataka and contributing to rural development through education. The institute's name, BTLITM, draws from its founder's initials and reflects the institution's dedication to nurturing technically skilled and disciplined professionals. Located at 259/B, Bommasandra Industrial Area, on the Hosur Main Road in South-Eastern Bangalore, the institute occupies a 25-acre campus surrounded by lush green scenery. The location is strategically advantageous, being approximately 10–15 minutes from the Silk Board junction via the elevated flyover, and in close proximity to Bangalore's Electronics City – one of India's most significant technology and IT hubs – which houses global companies like Infosys, Wipro, TCS, Siemens, Bosch, and others. The institute is affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi – the largest technical university in Asia – and is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, and recognised by the Department of Technical Education (DTE), Government of Karnataka. Academic Programs: BTLITM offers undergraduate (B.E.) programs in six engineering specializations: Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Information Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, and Civil Engineering. The institute also offers postgraduate M.Tech programs in Computer Science and Engineering, Digital Communications and Networking, and Thermal Power Engineering, admitted through GATE or Karnataka PGCET.
