Centre for Advanced Studies (CAS), Lucknow is a constituent postgraduate research and teaching institution established in 2017 by the Government of Uttar Pradesh under Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Lucknow. Located at the AKTU New Campus, Sector-11, Jankipuram Vistar Yojna, Lucknow, CAS was created with the mission to become a global centre of excellence for postgraduate studies and advanced research in Engineering and Technology. CAS is AICTE approved and is administered as part of the IET Lucknow institutional framework, sharing administrative infrastructure with the Institute of Engineering & Technology, Lucknow. The Centre offers M.Tech programmes in multiple engineering specialisations and Ph.D. programmes across engineering and technology disciplines. Admission to M.Tech is primarily through GATE scores followed by CUET PG via UPTAC counselling. GATE-qualified students are eligible for an MHRD stipend of Rs. 12,400 per month. The total M.Tech seat intake is approximately 90 students per year across all specialisations, with 18 seats per programme. The campus is centrally air-conditioned with high-speed Wi-Fi. The digital library provides access to 600+ books and 1,700+ international science and engineering journals from Springer, Nature, and other publishers. The IT Infrastructure Lab features 32 Dell Optiplex systems with standard software including engineering simulation tools. CAS is approximately 14.7 km from Lucknow Junction Railway Station and 29 km from Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport.
