The institute's flagship MMS programme runs across four semesters over two years and is offered with specialisations in Marketing, Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology/Systems, and Operations, giving students the flexibility to build a functional focus area while still receiving a broad grounding in general management. Admission to the programme is governed by the Maharashtra MAH-MBA/MMS-CET, conducted by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, with seats allotted through the DTE's Centralised Admission Process (CAP) as well as an Institute Level quota. CRKIMR also functions as an approved Ph.D. Research Centre of the University of Mumbai, where doctoral candidates undertake research in management under the University's PhD Entrance Test (PET) framework.

Academically, CRKIMR positions itself around a blend of classroom pedagogy, business simulations, industry-aligned visiting faculty and a strong emphasis on co-curricular and extra-curricular activity through the academic year. The institute reports a sizeable alumni base of more than 4,000 professionals spread across around 50 passed-out MMS batches, with over 100 recruiting partners engaging with the placement cell. Its central Bandra East location โ€” close to the Bandra-Kurla Complex financial district and well served by both road and suburban rail โ€” is frequently cited by students and reviewers as one of the institute's practical advantages for internships, guest sessions and industry interaction.

Prospective applicants evaluating CRKIMR alongside other Mumbai management institutes will typically want to look closely at the FRA-approved fee structure, the CAP-based admission process, and recent batch-wise placement outcomes before making a decision. A detailed breakdown of the current MMS fee structure is available for reference.
