Courses Offered at Datta Meghe Institute of Management Studies
In the first year students study the core management subjects such as accounting, economics, organisational behaviour, marketing, operations, business statistics, business law and strategy. This foundation ensures that every student, whatever their graduation stream, understands how different functions of a business work together. Case discussions, presentations, group projects and simulations are used along with lectures to develop analytical and communication skills.
From the second year onwards students choose one of six specialisations and study advanced electives. The specialisations available are Finance, Marketing, Human Resource Management, Business Analytics, Operations and Logistics, and Healthcare Management. Healthcare management is a distinctive option that prepares students for hospital administration, health-insurance and pharmaceutical management roles, which are growing quickly in central India.
- Finance - corporate finance, investment analysis, banking and financial markets
- Marketing - brand management, sales, digital marketing and consumer behaviour
- Human Resource Management - talent acquisition, learning and development, labour laws
- Business Analytics - data analysis, business intelligence and decision modelling
- Operations and Logistics - supply chain, warehousing and process management
- Healthcare Management - hospital operations, health services and health-sector business
Practical learning is a key part of the course. The institute uses Harvard Business Publishing case studies, live projects with companies, guest sessions by industry leaders. These activities help students build a professional network and prepare them for placement interviews. Fee details for the entire programme are listed on the fee structure page.
The eligibility for the MBA is a bachelor's degree from a recognised university with at least 50 percent marks, while candidates from reserved categories belonging to Maharashtra get a relaxation to 45 percent. A valid score in the Maharashtra MBA CET, or in national tests such as CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT and ATMA for institute-level seats, is required. To understand the selection steps, read the admission page.
