Dr. K.N. Modi Institute of Pharmaceutical Education & Research (Dr. KNMIPER) holds the distinction of being the first private-sector pharmacy institution in Uttar Pradesh. Established in 1990 by the Dr. K.N. Modi Foundation under the vision of noted philanthropist Dr. Kedar Nath Modi, KNMIPER has been at the forefront of pharmaceutical education and research in Northern India for over three decades. Located at the historic Kapda Mill campus in Modinagar, Ghaziabad, on the Delhi-Meerut-Dehradun National Highway (NH-58), KNMIPER is approximately 32 km from the Delhi border, making it conveniently accessible from Noida, Ghaziabad, Meerut, and Delhi. KNMIPER is approved by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), New Delhi, and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. It is affiliated to Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Lucknow, for B.Pharm and M.Pharm degree-level programmes, and to the Board of Technical Education (BTEUP), Lucknow, for the Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm). The institute is also accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA), AICTE. Under the leadership of Dr. D.K. Modi, KNMIPER continues its legacy of excellence. KNMIPER currently offers B.Pharm (4 years, 60 seats), M.Pharm (2 years) in Pharmaceutics, and D.Pharm (2 years, 60 seats). The institute has previously also offered B.Sc. (Biotechnology). The B.Pharm annual fee is approximately Rs. 89,343 per year, and the D.Pharm annual fee is Rs. 45,000 per year as per the official website (knmiper.ac.in). Admissions to B.Pharm are conducted through UPTAC counselling (via AKTU) based on 10+2 PCM/PCB scores. D.Pharm admissions are through BTEUP's JEECUP. Lateral entry to B.Pharm (2nd year) is available for D.Pharm pass-outs with minimum 60% marks. M.Pharm admissions are via GPAT/CUET PG scores. KNMIPER has a well-documented track record of training and placement. The institute has an active placement cell that invites leading pharmaceutical companies for campus recruitment.
