Dr. Pinnamaneni Siddhartha Institute of Medical Sciences & Research Foundation (Dr. PSIMS & RF), commonly known as Dr. P.S.I. Medical College, is a premier private medical institution established in 2002 under the sponsorship of the Siddhartha Academy of General & Technical Education, Vijayawada — one of Andhra Pradesh's most respected educational societies founded in 1975 and running 18 institutions. The institution is named in gratitude to the family of Late Dr. Pinnamaneni Venkateswara Rao, Founder President of Siddhartha Academy, who donated 31.32 acres of prime land on the National Highway. The campus is located right on NH-16 (Chennai–Kolkata National Highway), just 23 km from Vijayawada and approximately 5–7 km from Vijayawada International Airport. Affiliated with Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences and recognized by NMC, Government of India, NAAC, NABL, and NABH, the institution offers 150 MBBS seats, 110 PG (MD/MS) seats across 21 departments, and 4 Super Specialty (DM/M.Ch) seats in 2 departments. The campus spans 40 acres of constructed buildings (total lush green campus ~85+ acres) with a total built-up area of around 12 lakh sq.ft. The campus houses 6 air-conditioned lecture galleries (seating 200 each) and one hall with 420-seat capacity, all equipped with CCTVs for live operation theatre viewing. The attached teaching hospital, established in 2003, has 860 beds with 128 ICU beds, serving 2,200+ outpatients daily and providing subsidized / free care to rural BPL families under Dr. NTR Vaidhya Seva, Annaprasadam, and other government schemes. The campus is fully self-contained with Wi-Fi, uninterrupted power and water supply, a food court, Central Research Lab (₹2 crore), Telemedicine & Tele-Education Department (inaugurated by Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam), Skills Lab (₹50 lakh), Central Library, and separate hostels for men and women. Ranked 45th in India by India Today (2024).
