Candidates applying for the Ph.D. program at D Y Patil University, as per UGC guidelines must meet the following eligibility criteria: A Master’s degree in the relevant discipline from an Institute / University recognized by AICTE / UGC / Central/state Government. Minimum 55% marks or equivalent CGPA in postgraduate studies. Candidates must qualify the D. Entrance Test (PET) followed by an online interview conducted by the university, as per regulations. Candidates qualified in NET/SET/JRF/M.Phil. are exempted from the Ph.D. Entrance Test; however, they are required to appear for the personal interview as per the university admission process. Final selection for admission to the Ph.D. program will be based on the overall merit of the candidate, considering academic performance in the qualifying examination and performance in the personal interview, as per university admission norms
