E.S.I.C. Medical College & Hospital, K.K. Nagar, Chennai (also known as ESIC Medical College Chennai), established in 2013, is a centrally funded government medical institution under the Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), operating under the Ministry of Labour & Employment, Government of India. It evolved from the renowned ESI Hospital, K.K. Nagar, which has served insured patients in Tamil Nadu for over 30 years. Affiliated with The Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University and recognized by the NMC, the college initially admitted 100 MBBS students annually, with the intake increased to 150 seats following NMC approval in 2023-24. The institution also has a strong postgraduate program, admitting 65 PG students annually across multiple specialties. Postgraduate education began here as early as 2009. The campus features a modern academic block with lecture halls, demonstration rooms, a digital library, and well-equipped laboratories. 20% of MBBS seats are reserved for wards of insured ESIC patients.
