ESIC Medical College & Hospital, Ludhiana, was established in 2024 under the Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) — a central government body under the Ministry of Labour and Employment. It is the newest ESIC medical college in Punjab and one of the newest in India.

All students admitted to ESIC Medical College Ludhiana must execute a bond of ₹5 lakhs to serve in any ESIC/ESI Scheme institution for 1 year post-internship (or as may be specified from time to time). This service bond ensures graduates contribute to ESI healthcare delivery.

The IP (Insured Person) Quota is exclusive to wards of ESI-insured workers. Candidates must obtain a Ward of Insured Person (WIP) certificate from ESIC to be eligible.
