Faculty of Management & Technology (FMT) is a constituent unit of Harish Chandra Post Graduate College, Varanasi — a premier government-aided institution with over 158 years of educational heritage. The college was founded in 1866 by the great Hindi laureate Bhartendu Harish Chandra and has produced distinguished alumni including Ex-Prime Minister of India Late Lal Bahadur Shastri and Ex-Prime Minister of Nepal Late Visheshwar Prasad Koirala. FMT was established in 2002 under the 'Harish Chandra Vidyalaya Society' (registered under Indian Society Act 1860) with the objective of imparting quality management and technology education in eastern India. FMT is approved by AICTE, New Delhi and affiliated to Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Lucknow for its MBA program, while its BBA and BCA programs are affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith, Varanasi. The new campus at Bawan-Beegha, Azamgarh Road offers professional courses (MBA, BBA, BCA) on a peaceful 17-acre lush green campus located approximately 8 km from Varanasi Railway Station and 4 km from Pandeypur Crossing.
