Fathima Institute of Medical Sciences (FIMS), Kadapa, is a private Muslim Minority medical college established in 2010 and promoted by Mohammadiya Educational Society — a registered society and part of the AQJ Group of Institutions, founded in 1996 and operating 7 colleges across Andhra Pradesh. The AQJ group's three divisions are Maqbool Hussain Educational Welfare Society, Mohammad Vaziruddin Educational Society, and Mohammadiya Educational Society. FIMS is affiliated to Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada, and approved by the National Medical Commission (NMC). The college offers 100 MBBS seats and 25 PG (MD/MS) seats across 6 specialties. The campus spans 36.52 acres located on Pulivendula Road, Ramarajupalli, approximately 11 km from Kadapa Airport and 385 km from the state capital Amaravathi. The attached teaching hospital — FIMS Teaching Hospital — has 750+ beds (upgraded from 500) with 24×7 emergency services, ICU, MRI, CT Scan, Ultrasound, Blood Bank, and multispecialty OPD/IPD services catering to 6 lakh+ population in the surrounding region. The campus features 4 air-conditioned lecture theatres, a 1,600 sq.m. Category A students must sign a compulsory rural service bond per AP State Govt. rules.
