Fathima Institute of Medical Sciences (FIMS), Kadapa, is a private Muslim Minority medical college established in 2010 and promoted by Mohammadiya Educational Society — a registered society and part of the AQJ Group of Institutions, founded in 1996 and operating 7 colleges across Andhra Pradesh. The AQJ group's three divisions are Maqbool Hussain Educational Welfare Society, Mohammad Vaziruddin Educational Society, and Mohammadiya Educational Society. FIMS is affiliated to Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada, and approved by the National Medical Commission (NMC). The college offers 100 MBBS seats and 25 PG (MD/MS) seats across 6 specialties. The campus spans 36.52 acres located on Pulivendula Road, Ramarajupalli, approximately 11 km from Kadapa Airport and 385 km from the state capital Amaravathi. The attached teaching hospital — FIMS Teaching Hospital — has 750+ beds (upgraded from 500) with 24×7 emergency services, ICU, MRI, CT Scan, Ultrasound, Blood Bank, and multispecialty OPD/IPD services catering to 6 lakh+ population in the surrounding region. The campus features 4 air-conditioned lecture theatres, a 1,600 sq.m. Central Library with 12,000+ books and e-journal access, dedicated Skills Lab, Central Research Lab, a large auditorium, and separate hostel blocks for boys and girls. As a Muslim Minority institution, a significant portion of seats is reserved for Muslim Minority candidates; however, non-minority candidates are also eligible for management and other quota seats. Being a private institution, 100% of seats are filled through Andhra Pradesh state NEET UG counselling conducted by NTRUHS.

Qualify NEET UG → Register for Andhra Pradesh NEET UG counselling conducted by NTRUHS → 100% seats filled through AP State counselling (no direct MCC AIQ as this is a fully private minority college) → Three rounds: Round 1, Round 2, Mop-Up → Mop-Up for Management Quota (Category B/C) → Management Quota seats in Muslim Minority colleges: first allotted to Muslim Minority candidates; if unavailable, to Non-Muslim Minority candidates in Mop-Up Phase → Document verification at college → Fee payment and admission. Category A students must sign a compulsory rural service bond per AP State Govt. rules.

Sliding allowed till Mop-Up round. Compulsory rural service bond applies: 1.5-year penalty period; ₹40,00,000 penalty if bond not fulfilled; annual bond amount ₹3,54,000.
