The central library is fully air-conditioned with a collection of 11,000+ (some sources cite 7,000+) medical books, journals, e-resources, and thesis collections for UG and PG students. Laboratories
State-of-the-art pre-clinical and para-clinical laboratories for Anatomy (dissection hall with cadavers), Physiology, Biochemistry, Pathology, Microbiology, and Pharmacology. NABL-certified BSL-2 Laboratory (Certificate MC-3680). Advanced clinical diagnostic labs including radiology (CT, MRI, ultrasound, X-ray), haematology, clinical pathology, blood bank, and microbiology within the teaching hospital.

Spacious, well-ventilated smart classrooms equipped with audio-visual systems, projectors, and interactive displays for effective teaching. Air-conditioned lecture halls seating 100–250 students. Departmental seminar rooms for small-group learning. Anatomy and Physiology museums. MEU (Medical Education Unit) activities room for faculty development.

Hostel
Separate AC and Non-AC hostel blocks for boys and girls on campus. Rooms are furnished with basic amenities. Common rooms, TV lounges, Wi-Fi zones, water purifiers, CCTV surveillance, and warden-supervised 24×7 security. Mess / canteen serves nutritious and affordable meals. Hostel allotment is done by GIMSH administration at the start of each academic year.

GIMSH has 150 MBBS seats for AY 2024-25 (as per NMC renewal). NMC has also granted LOP for an increase to 200 seats, which becomes effective from AY 2025-26. Seats are split approximately 1/3 state quota, 2/3 management quota, with 23 NRI quota seats.
Approximately ₹19,500/month as per West Bengal government norms for private medical college interns. Subject to revision.
Management quota annual tuition is ₹21,88,000 (₹10,94,000 per semester). Total for the complete MBBS course is approximately ₹83.5 lakh. One-time charges: Admission fee ₹1,00,000, Caution money ₹15,000 (refundable), Sports/Library fee ₹20,000. Bank guarantee of ₹76.58 lakh or full payment required at admission.
Yes. Compulsory rural/government service is required post-MBBS. A service bond is executed at the time of admission. Bond penalty is applicable if the candidate does not complete the mandatory service.
