About Government Medical College, Churu
Government Medical College, Churu, also known as Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Medical College (PDUMC), was established in 2018 under the Rajasthan Medical Education Society (Raj-MES). Located in the Shekhawat Colony, Churu, Rajasthan, it is affiliated with the Rajasthan University of Health Sciences (RUHS), Jaipur, and recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC). The college is spread over a sprawling 23.69-acre campus housing the main academic block, hostels for students, and residential quarters for faculty and staff. The attached D.B. Hospital, located on Pankha Road about 1 km from the college, is the primary teaching hospital with 300+ beds and provides free treatment to BPL, Bhamashah, and other free-category patients. The college offers 150 MBBS seats, making it a key institution for providing quality and affordable medical education in the northern Shekhawati region of Rajasthan, one of the state's driest and underserved desert belts.

Yes. GMC Churu has separate hostel facilities for UG boys (133 rooms) and UG girls (70 rooms). PG hostel is also available for both boys and girls with 48 rooms. Hostel fee is approximately Rs. 45,000 per year. Mess facility is provided at subsidized rates.
