Located in Haridwar — one of the holiest cities in India and a major pilgrimage destination — the institution serves the healthcare and medical education needs of Haridwar district with a population of 2.3 million and the surrounding region. Affiliated with HNBUMU and administered by the Directorate of Medical Education, Government of Uttarakhand. The college is closely associated with Haridwar District Hospital as its teaching hospital.
