Government Medical College, Karur (GMC Karur) is a government medical institution established in 2019 under the Directorate of Medical Education, Government of Tamil Nadu. Located at Karur Sanapirath Village, Kulantha Goundanoor, Karur district, the college is affiliated with The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, Chennai, and recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC). With 150 NMC-approved MBBS seats, the college is spread over a 27.49-acre campus featuring spacious lecture halls accommodating 200+ students, demonstration rooms, seminar halls, examination rooms, departmental museums, well-equipped laboratories, a spacious central library with e-library access, canteen, recreation halls, a large on-campus auditorium, and indoor and outdoor sports facilities.
