Government Medical College, Mancherial (GMC Mancherial) is one of the eight new government medical colleges announced and sanctioned by the Government of Telangana in June 2021. It was inaugurated by Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao on 15 November 2022, and became functional from academic year 2022-23. It is 244 km from Hyderabad, accessible via the Hyderabad–Karimnagar–Ramagundam Road. Railway station and bus station are within 2 km of the campus. The college offers 100 MBBS seats per year (AY 2022-23 onwards). 100 internship seats are also available (per NMC circular 2025-26). No PG courses currently. It serves the rural and tribal population of Mancherial district and surrounding areas including Bellampally, Mandamarri, Chennur, Naspur, Luxettipet, Sirpur-Kagaznagar; Adilabad district (Asifabad); and Maharashtra (Ballarshah).
