Government Medical College (GMC), Seoni, established in 2024, is a newly inaugurated government medical institution in Seoni district, Madhya Pradesh, set up under the Centrally Sponsored Scheme for new government medical colleges. Affiliated with Madhya Pradesh Medical Science University (MPMSU), Jabalpur, and recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC), the college is led by Dean Dr. (Prof.) Parvez A. Siddiqui. Located amidst the picturesque Satpura Range near Pench National Tiger Reserve — the setting famously described by Rudyard Kipling as the backdrop for The Jungle Book featuring Mowgli — GMC Seoni covers a 30-acre campus in Village Kandipaar, approximately 5.5 km from Indira Gandhi District Hospital, Seoni, which serves as the teaching hospital with 400–450 beds. GMC Seoni admits 100 MBBS students annually and aims to expand healthcare access for the underserved Satpura-Seoni belt. GMC Seoni has 100 MBBS seats annually. 15% (15 seats) are via MCC AIQ and 85% (85 seats) via DME MP state quota. There is no management or NRI quota.

The annual tuition fee is approximately INR 1,00,000 (with a caution deposit of INR 14,000 in the first year, making year 1 approximately INR 1,14,000). Total MBBS course fee approximately INR 5.13 lakh for 5 years. Hostel INR 12,000–18,000/year; mess INR 3,000–4,000/month.
