Government Medical College, The Nilgiris (GMC Nilgiris) is a state government medical college established in 2021 and formally inaugurated on 12 January 2023 by the Prime Minister of India. It received NMC approval for 150 MBBS seats for AY 2021-22. Located in the scenic Nilgiri Hills at Udhagamandalam (Ooty), the college is the only government medical college in the Nilgiris district. The 40-acre campus includes modern lecture halls, advanced laboratories, a central library, and hostel accommodation for 750 students. Affiliated with The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, Chennai.
