Government Medical College, Wanaparthy (GMC Wanaparthy) is a state-run government medical institution and one of the eight new medical colleges announced and sanctioned by the Government of Telangana in June 2021. NMC permission was granted on 11 August 2022 for 150 MBBS seats. Located at Marrikunta (Srinivasapuram), Pebbair Road, Wanaparthy – 509103, the college is spread over a 50-acre campus, affiliated with Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences (KNRUHS), Warangal, and administered by the Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Government of Telangana. Wanaparthy is approximately 155 km from Hyderabad, 73 km from Kurnool (Andhra Pradesh), and 97 km from Raichur (Karnataka) — positioned at the southern tip of Telangana, serving the health and medical education needs of over 25 lakh residents of Wanaparthy, Mahbubnagar, and the surrounding region.
