As a Haryana state government university, GJUST runs a fairly detailed fee-concession framework laid out in its official fee structure, going well beyond a single named scholarship scheme. The most direct benefit applies to Scheduled Caste students of Haryana whose family income from all sources is up to Rs. 2.5 lakh per annum: these students are not required to pay any fee or security/caution money at the time of admission at all, under the state's Post Matric Scholarship (PMS) scheme, and instead deposit their fee within seven days of receiving the PMS amount via Direct Benefit Transfer to their bank account, provided they hold valid caste and income certificates along with an updated Parivar Pehchan Patra (PPP).
Scholarships & Financial Aid
Eligible SC students of Haryana are not required to pay any fee or security/caution money at the time of admission under the state's Post Matric Scholarship scheme, administered via DBT to the student's bank account.

Scholarships & Fee Concessions at GJUST, Hisar
Beyond the PMS route, GJUST also allows department Chairpersons to grant full tuition fee concessions to up to 10% of students in a regular programme class, with the Vice-Chancellor empowered to sanction an additional 10% concession in exceptional, deserving cases. Separately, students with a sibling enrolled at the same time in a regular programme can benefit from a sibling fee concession, where the elder child pays the full fee and the younger child pays half. Wards of serving or retired military personnel up to the rank of NCO, or of personnel killed or incapacitated during war, are eligible for a full tuition fee concession as well.
GJUST additionally extends full tuition fee concessions to blind and persons-with-disabilities students, and to wards of Freedom Fighters, while students from economically weaker sections of society can avail a 1/3rd concession on the total fee on submission of a Yellow Card and Income Certificate from a competent authority. A separate tier of concessions applies to university and HKRNL employee dependents, ranging from 50% for regular employee wards up to a full fee waiver for Class-IV employee wards, with a similar tiered structure (50% to full waiver) for wards of HKRNL Group-B, Group-C and Group-D employees respectively.
Because these concessions apply across regular, part-time and self-financed programmes — and in some cases extend to Distance Education mode as well — applicants who may qualify under any of these categories are encouraged to apply for the relevant concession through their department Chairperson alongside their regular admission process, and to check the applicable concession against the year-wise fee structure for their intended programme before finalising their admission budget.
