Indian Institute of Information Technology, Tiruchirappalli (IIIT Trichy or IIITT) is a prestigious Institute of National Importance established in 2013 under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model by the Government of India, the Government of Tamil Nadu, and leading IT industry partners including Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Cognizant Technology Solutions (CTS), Infosys, Ramco Systems, ELCOT, and Navitas (TAKE Solutions). Initially operating from temporary setups, IIIT Trichy transitioned completely to its own 62-acre permanent campus in Sethurapatti on the Tiruchirappalli-Madurai Highway in July 2021. The institute balances high-quality technical curriculum with practice-driven engineering breadth across undergratuate and postgraduate programs.
