No. IIIT Una does not permit branch or programme changes. Students are allocated seats based on their JEE Main rank via JoSAA/CSAB counselling and must complete the program they were admitted to.

The tuition fee per semester is ₹1,05,000. For the full 4 years, the total tuition reaches ₹8,40,000. Including all academic charges, the semester fee comes to approximately ₹1,30,000. This is the same for all students regardless of category. Note: This fee structure strictly excludes hostel and mess fees.

IIIT Una has memorandums of understanding (MoUs) with reputed institutions such as IIT Ropar, IIT Mandi, HPTU Hamirpur, and Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri Government Medical College, Nerchowk. These facilitate faculty exchanges, joint research projects, and guest lectures.

Per the official AY 2025-26 fee structure, the per-semester institute fee is ₹1,35,000 (Sem 2–8) and ₹1,40,000 for Sem 1. This includes tuition ₹1,05,000 + academic ₹6,000 + electricity & internet ₹2,000 + maintenance ₹12,000 + IDF ₹5,000. Hostel fee is ₹22,800/semester and mess advance ₹25,000/semester. Total 4-year cost including hostel/mess is approximately ₹15 Lakhs. Fee is the same for all students regardless of category.
