About Indian Institute of Ayurved Research & Hospital

Indian Institute of Ayurved Research & Hospital (IIARH), Rajkot, established in 2016, is a premier state-of-the-art center for quality Ayurveda education and healthcare, located in a calm and serene atmosphere on the outskirts of Rajkot city. Managed by the Hansvahini Educational Trust, the institute is situated on a sprawling 10-acre green campus at 150ft. Iswariya Road, Kalawad Road, Rajkot, Gujarat โ€“ 360110. IIARH is affiliated with the prestigious Gujarat Ayurved University (GAU), Jamnagar, and is duly approved and recognized by the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM) and the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India. The institute is also NABH-certified, reflecting its commitment to delivering healthcare of the highest standard. Founded with the vision of serving humanity by enriching future Ayurvedic doctors and caring for patients with the ancient wisdom of the past, IIARH integrates classical Ayurvedic knowledge with modern scientific methods and evidence-based practices. Ayurveda, as taught at IIARH, is not merely a healthcare system but a holistic science of life that imparts timeless moral and wellness lessons. The institution's well-equipped campus offers comprehensive facilities for the teaching-learning process and wide amenities for students' overall health and development. The campus is home to a NABH-certified 100-bedded Ayurvedic hospital offering a wide range of treatments including Panchakarma, Ksharakarma, and herbal therapies. The hospital serves patients from Rajkot and surrounding regions and is equipped with modern diagnostic tools and a GMP-certified pharmacy. A sprawling herbal garden with over 500 medicinal plants supports practical training in Dravyaguna (Ayurvedic pharmacology). The institute actively conducts community health camps, health surveys, and awareness programmes in rural areas. IIARH offers the flagship BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery) programme with an NCISM-permitted intake of 100 students. The 5.5-year programme (4.5 years of coursework + 1-year mandatory internship) covers core Ayurvedic subjects like Dravyaguna, Kriya Sharir, Rachana Sharir, Panchakarma, and Kayachikitsa. Admissions are strictly based on NEET UG scores via the Gujarat AYUSH NEET Counselling process under ACPUGMEC. The institute's experienced and highly qualified faculty, well-stocked central library, advanced research laboratory, separate hostel facilities for boys and girls, canteen, playground, auditorium, and IT infrastructure together create a nurturing academic environment. IIARH is firmly committed to producing Ayurvedic physicians with a '3D' character โ€“ Dedication, Devotion, and Determination.
