Indira Medical College and Hospitals (IMCH), Thiruvallur is a new-generation private self-financing medical institution established in 2020, named after Indira Gandhi, the former Prime Minister of India. Managed by the Indira Educational and Charitable Trust, the college is affiliated with The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, Chennai, and approved by the National Medical Commission (NMC). Located in V.P.R. Nagar (VGR Nagar), Pandur in Thiruvallur district, the college offers 150 MBBS seats per year and postgraduate MD/MS programs. The campus sprawls over 60 acres of lush green pollution-free, tobacco-free, alcohol-free surroundings. IMCH provides modern air-conditioned gallery-type lecture halls (150-seat capacity), advanced simulation labs, examination halls, seminar rooms, demonstration rooms, and a well-equipped central library with over 25,000 books and numerous Indian and Foreign journals. The attached 1,200-bed multi-specialty teaching hospital includes a dedicated 30-bed emergency unit and serves over 800+ outpatients daily.
