Institute of Engineering & Technology (IET), Lucknow, popularly known as 'the Engineering College' in Lucknow, is one of the premier and top-ranked technical institutes among all institutions affiliated with Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU). Established by the Government of Uttar Pradesh in 1984 as a society-governed institute, IET Lucknow is an autonomous constituent institute of AKTU and is recognized by AICTE. The institute was formerly affiliated to the University of Lucknow (1984-1999) before becoming a constituent of AKTU. It is financed by the Government of Uttar Pradesh and administered by the Executive Council of AKTU. IET Lucknow is a fully residential campus located on Sitapur Road, Lucknow. B.Tech admissions are through JEE Main/CUET UG scores via UPTAC counselling. M.Tech admissions require GATE scores. MBA admissions use CUET PG.
