KAHER (KLE Academy of Higher Education & Research) is a prestigious Deemed-to-be-University in Belagavi, Karnataka, established by the Karnataka Lingayat Education (KLE) Society. JGMMMC is KAHER's second medical college — the first being the 55-year-old Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College (JNMC), Belagavi, with 200 MBBS seats and a 2,400-bedded hospital.
JGMMMC is attached to KLE Suchirayu Hospital, Hubballi — a 1,000+ bedded multi-specialty teaching hospital with advanced ICUs, modular operation theatres, Blood Bank, Radiology (CT, MRI, USG, X-Ray), and departments across all major clinical specialties. An additional KLE Hospital & Medical Research Centre, Hubballi at Gabbur Cross is currently under construction adjacent to the campus.
For MCC Deemed University (All India) quota, the General category cutoff was approximately 408 marks (2023) and 442 marks (2022). For Karnataka State Quota (KEA), General Merit closed at 537 marks (2023). During NEET 2021–2024, 56 candidates received seat allotment at JGMMMC.
