Required Entrance Exams

NEET (UG) for BAMS; AIAPGET/KEA PG Counselling for MD/MS Ayurveda

Eligibility Criteria
10+2/PUC (Science) with Physics, Chemistry and Biology, minimum 50% aggregate marks, valid NEET (UG) score, minimum age 17 years as on 31st December of the admission year for BAMS. BAMS degree with completed internship for PG Ayurveda programmes.
Admission Process
NEET (UG) qualification → Candidates apply through three parallel channels: (1) AYUSH Admissions Central Counselling Committee (AACCC) for the 15% All India Quota seats, (2) Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) AYUSH NEET Counselling for State Quota seats, and (3) direct application to the college for Management Quota seats → Choice filling/application and seat allotment based on NEET rank, category, and seat availability → Document verification and reporting to the college → Fee payment and admission confirmation.

Important Notice

Of the total 60 BAMS seats, 9 are filled via AACCC (15% All India Quota), 15 via KEA AYUSH State Quota Counselling, and 36 via the college's own Management Quota process. Candidates should check official AACCC and KEA notifications for exact dates each year, as these vary by counselling cycle.

How to Get Admission to BAMS at DGM Ayurvedic Medical College via NEET, AACCC & KEA Counselling

  • Qualify NEET (UG) conducted by NTA with the minimum percentile prescribed for the candidate's category.
  • For All India Quota (9 seats): register and participate in AACCC counselling under the Ministry of AYUSH.
  • For State Quota (15 seats): register and participate in KEA's AYUSH NEET Counselling for Karnataka.
  • For Management Quota (36 seats): apply directly to the college as per its published admission process.
  • Seat allotment is based on NEET rank, category, and seat availability within each quota.
  • Report to the college within the stipulated deadline with original documents for verification and fee payment to confirm admission.

For postgraduate MD/MS Ayurveda admission, candidates must hold a BAMS degree (or equivalent), complete the mandatory one-year internship by 31st March of the admission year, and qualify through the relevant PG Ayurveda entrance examination (AIAPGET or KEA PG counselling); a limited number of Management Quota PG seats are also available on a first-come-first-served basis as per institutional policy.

Important Eligibility Conditions

Candidates for BAMS must have completed Class 12/PUC in the Science stream with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, scored a minimum of 50% aggregate marks, and must be at least 17 years of age at the time of admission (or turn 17 by 31st December of the admission year), in accordance with NCISM age-eligibility norms.
