The college was first affiliated to Utkal University (Arts faculty in 1960, Science faculty in 1963), and was automatically re-affiliated to Berhampur University after its establishment on 2nd January 1967, under the Odisha Education Act, 1966. It has held full-fledged affiliation across Humanities, Science and Commerce since 1970.
The college offers Bachelor's degree Honours and Pass programmes in Arts (Odia, English, History, Political Science, Economics, Philosophy, Education, Journalism & Mass Communication), Science (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Botany, Zoology, Electronics) and Commerce, plus +2 (Higher Secondary) courses in Arts, Science and Commerce streams.
