About KMCT Medical College, Kozhikode
KMCT Medical College, Kozhikode, established in 2008 under the Kunhitharuvai Memorial Charitable Trust (KMCT Group of Institutions) founded by Dr. K. Moidu, is one of Kerala's fastest-growing private medical institutions. Located in the scenic hill environs of Manassery, Mukkam, 25 km from Kozhikode city, the college is affiliated with Kerala University of Health Sciences (KUHS) and approved by the National Medical Commission (NMC). Distinguished as the first and only standalone medical college in Kerala to receive NAAC Grade 'A' accreditation, KMCT is also ranked 97th in India by NIRF (2023) and 109th by IIRF (2024). Beginning with 100 MBBS seats, intake was expanded to 250 seats from AY 2024-25. The attached KMCT Medical College Hospital is a 1,200+ bedded tertiary care facility offering cardiology, neurology, nephrology, and other super-specialty services, providing extensive clinical exposure. The central library spans 2,400 sq. m with 11,682 books and 119 journals. PG courses in 14 specialties with 91 MD/MS seats were introduced from 2015-16 onward. The college scored 100% pass rate in its first MBBS university examination.
