KRAMCH's 5.5-acre campus in Koteshwara is designed specifically for Ayurvedic medical education rather than the scale of a large multi-programme engineering or management institution. The entire campus footprint serves a single BAMS programme with a 100-seat annual intake — which means the facilities, while modest in absolute scale compared to larger universities, are reasonably proportionate to the actual student population they serve. The institution's CCIM recognition requires it to meet specific minimum infrastructure norms for Ayurvedic medical colleges, including hospital bed strength, Herbal Garden area, laboratory equipment, and library resources — and KRAMCH has maintained these requirements since its 1987 establishment.

Campus Facilities at KRAMCH: A Compact, Purpose-Built Ayurvedic Medical Campus

100-Bedded Teaching Hospital: The Core Clinical Asset

The attached teaching hospital is the most educationally significant facility on the KRAMCH campus. With 100 inpatient beds and 10 OPD departments spanning all recognized Ayurvedic clinical specialties, the hospital operates as both a community healthcare provider for the Koteshwara-Kundapura population and as the primary clinical training ground for BAMS students. The hospital is equipped with modern diagnostic infrastructure — including ultrasound (USG), electrocardiogram (ECG), pathology laboratory, and an operation theatre — enabling students to practice integrated Ayurvedic medicine with access to contemporary diagnostic data. Patient consultations are provided at subsidized rates, ensuring consistent patient footfall and clinical case diversity for student learning.

Herbal Garden: A Differentiating Ayurvedic Academic Resource

The Herbal Garden at KRAMCH is a functionally important academic resource specific to Ayurvedic medical education — one that has no equivalent in engineering or management college infrastructure comparisons. The garden contains a curated collection of rare medicinal herbs, plants, and trees referenced in Ayurvedic classical texts such as the Ashtanga Hridayam and Charaka Samhita, directly supporting Dravyaguna practical learning. The Koteshwara coastal environment, with its naturally high biodiversity and conducive tropical climate, supports the cultivation of a broader range of medicinal plants than temperate or semi-arid campus environments can sustain — a genuine benefit of KRAMCH's coastal Karnataka location for Ayurvedic pharmacognosy education.

Library and Digital Resources

The library at KRAMCH houses approximately 3,000–4,000 books across Ayurvedic and biomedical subjects, spread over roughly 2,500 square feet with seating for 100–150 students. The collection includes Sanskrit texts, classical Ayurvedic commentaries, RGUHS examination reference books, journals, periodicals, and digital library access enabling students to retrieve research publications and online resources. The library functions as the primary self-study space on campus and is complemented by department-level reference collections in individual practical laboratories.

Hostel and Residential Infrastructure

KRAMCH provides separate hostel facilities for male and female students on the campus premises. Monthly hostel charges are approximately ₹5,000, making residential accommodation reasonably affordable relative to the tuition fee investment. The hostel buildings are situated within the same coastal Koteshwara campus environment — a meaningful practical convenience for students without personal transport, as the campus is 5 kilometres from Kundapura town. Students opting for hostel residence benefit from a controlled academic environment with reduced external distractions during examination preparation periods.
