Admission to LEAD College is handled through its own selection cycle, called uLEAD and described on the admissions page as the VLEAD framework. Instead of relying only on marks, the college evaluates academic background, aptitude and communication, motivation and career clarity, and learning attitude. The selection cycle begins on 1 December each year and runs in multiple rounds over about eight months, while the programme itself commences in the first week of September after a mandatory pre-course induction called Turning Point.

Admission Process at LEAD College of Management

MBA candidates need a bachelor's degree and a valid score in KMAT Kerala, CMAT or CAT, which is mandatory for final confirmation. MCA candidates need a bachelor's degree with Mathematics at 10+2 or graduation level and are selected through merit and institutional screening. The college states that in the 2024-25 intake of 360 MBA seats, half were filled under the merit quota and half under the management quota. Applications are accepted only through the official online portal, and offline or e-mail submissions are not entertained.

  • Register: create an account on the official admission portal
  • Verify email: confirm the link sent to your inbox
  • Fill application: enter personal and academic details online
  • Pay fee: complete the application payment through the available online options
  • Submit: review all details and finalise the application

After the application, shortlisted candidates go through the uLEAD stages. The first is WAD, which stands for What After Degree, a one and a half hour career guidance session held online or on campus. The second is Know LEAD, a briefing by the Director for students and parents about the programmes and campus life. The core stage is the uLEAD assessment, which includes three to five group activities that test teamwork and lateral thinking, followed by a personal interview with the Director or senior faculty that examines self-awareness, leadership potential and communication.

The email address used during registration is used for all correspondence until enrolment, and the college does not allow it to be changed. Queries can be raised through the LEAD query management system available on the applicant dashboard, which the college recommends for the fastest response. Applicants can also call 0491-2553693 or 0491-2503693, use the mobile number +91 9497713693, or write to info@lead.ac.in. It is sensible to keep graduation mark sheets, category certificates and the entrance scorecard ready before starting the form.

Candidates who want to understand how entrance scores matter can read about past qualifying scores on the KMAT cutoff page.
